Waynetown - Mary Schenck, 85 of Waynetown died at 4:25 p.m. Friday in Lane House Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. A resident of the Waynetown are all of her life, she was a member of Christian Union Church and Ladies Aid east of Waynetown. She also was a member and Past Worthy Matreon of Waynetown OES 435. She was educated in Wayne Township schools. Mrs. Schenck was born March 10, 1899 near Waynetown, daughter of Nathaniel and Bessie Patton Moore. She was married to John C. Schenck on June 28, 1919 at Waynetown. He preceded her in death July 24, 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David (Maxine) Rush of Rt 1, Waynetown; a brother, Arthur Moore of Sacramento, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Josephine BUettner of Santa Monica, Calif; three grandchildren, Gary Rush of Veedersburg; Warren Rush of Crawfordsville and Wayne Rush of Waynetown; 8 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Nine brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. DOrman WInter officiatnig. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Sunday and up until time for the services Monday at the funeral home.
